Lace for the Curious
Led by Malissa Fields, Mena, AR
About this workshop
Learned to knit recently? Let's build those skills. If you can make a scarf and have started to wonder what else your hands might be capable of, these three classes are for you. Each one focuses on a single technique, so you leave with a finished piece (or close to it) and enough confidence to try the technique again without anyone watching. Lace is mostly yarn-overs and decreases arranged in a pattern, and once you see how they work together it stops feeling mysterious. You will learn to work simple lace stitches, keep track of your place in a chart, and use lifelines so a mistake is never a disaster. We will start with another washcloth so you can practice the stitches before committing to a full project.
