Handbuilding Pottery for Beginners / ADULTS – Small Fairy House / Two Classes

Jump into the joy of working with clay! Led by a guide with many successful years of hand building experience, you will create your own small Fairy House. As time permits, you can add creatures and decorations to your house. This workshop takes place in TWO classes set two weeks apart. After the first class, your creation will be properly dried and kiln fired to 1,940 degrees F. In the second class you will learn to decorate with glazes. After a final kiln firing to 2,200 degrees F, your work will be ready for pick up. (Please note - the current photos are of just-built houses . . . the clay is still wet. Yours will be much more colorful when completed.) Your guide, Lynn, LOVES working with clay and is excited to share her knowledge and enjoyment with you. Before we begin building, we'll learn tricks about working with clay, including creating a decorative surface with everyday items. Each session will run 90 minutes, providing you with 3+ hours of hands-on instruction. Future classes will feature Whimsical Creatures (gnomes, dragons and such) and more advanced techniques.
