Knitting in the Round: Making a hat

Learned to knit recently? Let's build those skills. If you can make a washcloth and have started to wonder what else your hands might be capable of, these three classes are for you. Each one focuses on a single technique, so you leave with a finished piece (or close to it) and enough confidence to try the technique again without anyone watching. Knitting in a circle sounds harder than it is, and this class will prove it. You will cast on, join your stitches without twisting them (we will all twist them at least once, and I will show you how to fix it), work the body of a hat, and shape the crown with decreases. By the end of the class, you will have a hat well underway and a solid understanding of how to knit anything worked in the round, including cowls, mittens, and socks.
